It is our company get-together to celebrate the first birthday of ecomZera and all "eZians" and expected to be there.

The party on the 17th is worth reminiscing. Worth reminiscing is an understatement, considering all the fun we had! We should have had a blog post about it sooner than this, while our memories of it were fresher. Well, it is not too late..

It was wonderful to get together around 2 pm in the afternoon at the office with the common goal of having a good time at the party. It was unlike the usual days, when we get together with our daily and weekly targets in mind!

We carpooled and went to the Presidency dhaba at Medchal, where we started off the evening's fun with a game of cricket. In addition to our colleagues' cricketing skills, we got a chance to see how smart some of us were in jumping walls (Rupesh, Sharad, and the Praveens (both the optimizer and the administrative officer)), finding balls, and capturing these extraordinary feats on video and still cameras. Rupesh and Sharad were superb with the willow (or whatever wood the bat was made of) and after a close contest, Rupesh was adjudged the man of the series.

Then we got down to refreshments and some positive talk about the company and about each other (unlike the usual grumbling, one might say).. It was surprising to see how many good things people had to say about each other, and that too, with genuine expressions on their faces.

As we were getting late, we had to cancel a couple of fun activities we had initially planned out -- namely an ad-mad show and dumb-charades. In between the cheerful exchanges, we had quite a lot of delicious food. Not to be forgotten are the excellent drinks, from folks in Scottish highlands (and Vijay Mallya)..

A nice video was made too, with Sreecharan proving to be a smart anchor and quite a few of us giving Azharuddin a run for his money in terms of responses..

As you all know, the company is celebrating its 2nd anniversary on 9th of June, a week before Father's Day..
Its going to be a 3 hour party ( Dinner included ), though the specifics are yet to be worked out.
So, we are calling upon you extraordinary guys n gals to showcase your talents - musical, oratory, sporty - or these could just be any creative or funny ideas that we could give a shape to.
No imagination is too wild!
Some of ideas already in the box include:

• Boat ride on the Hussain Sagar
• A mock employee of the year - 15 funny categories for 15 employees
• 1 or 2 serious awards..(who cares about these.. I'm looking forward to the Orkut of the Year or Yahoo of the Year)
